Over the last few months we’ve been selling down our physical t-shirt stock, and making it available at a sizable discount for anyone attending our events. (If you’re coming to our AGM, there is still a small amount left if you’re after a bargain!)
However, this is not the end of DHIY selling t-shirts - we’ve partnered with IYUK to make a refreshed selection of tops available on their web store:
We would love to see you in our new clothing selection at some of the upcoming DHIY events; and to hear any feedback you have on them.
If you have any issues with fit/colour availability/sizing, please let us know and we’ll work with IYUK to improve the range!
Sweaters
As well as t-shirts, a few of you have been asking Cheree and I about the DHIY sweaters we’ve occasionally been sporting since last year; and while we ended up going with a different provider, we have made a similar design available through IYUK’s storefront:
Why the move?
The logistics of bringing all the t-shirts to our physical events has been somewhat challenging over the years, and particularly with the low number of committee members currently, we’ve been looking for ways to reduce our workload.
All of the designs in the storefront are made available through a “print-on-demand” service in the UK, which will print our design onto their available t-shirt stock on the day you order from them.
This avoids us either us or IYUK having to carry specific stock, and means you can order from the comfort of your own home, whenever you choose.
Who is responsible for the store and my orders?
IYUK are now responsible for setting the costs and maintaining the website, and Teemills and IYUK together provide customer service if you have any issues. We’ll still be working with them to ensure our designs stay up to date as product availability changes, and to potentially add new products over time, but our responsibility is much reduced.
You can contact us if you have general queries about the available designs/products (e.g. to make suggestions), but specific queries about an order or stock availability should be directed to IYUK and Teemills using their help service.
Does DHIY profit from these sales?
DHIY has never aimed to generate a profit from our t-shirt sales - they were provided purely as a way for members to promote and support our group visibly.
This still applies to t-shirts on the new storefront, but IYUK are in control of the prices, and will set the prices accordingly to cover their costs, on top of whatever base price is set by Teemills for each item.
Where is the mandala design from?
If you look carefully, you’ll see the centre of the mandala is in fact the silhouette of Geeta Iyengar that we use for the DHIY logo!
