What information do we collect?
We will only collect personal information as volunteered by you via registration forms or subscriptions; this may include your name, address, e-mail address and contact telephone number. We maintain a record of your transaction history, but we never store your card details.
We have four places where we store member data.
One is Substack, where we only store your email address; this is shared with Substack and associated with the member/subscriber user profile if a member subscriber sets one up. Substack has its own privacy policy: https://substack.com/privacy
We store annual membership reports, which currently contains all membership data from the IY (UK) website. This includes addresses, telephone numbers, full name. This is stored in Google Drive in a shared folder with committee members only able to view.
The third store is BookWhen, again Bookwhen has its own privacy policy, and users are advised of this when signing up. This can be viewed here: https://bookwhen.com/privacy
The last store is emails that are sent to our mailing addresses - any emails sent to us are retained in Gmail.
Data retention policy.
Members/Subscribers are able to delete their own data from Substack.
Once your membership has lapsed, information will only be held on file for as long as is necessary for your membership type.
